Book The Booth Guidelines [EN]

Because anything works best when it is guided by rules of conduct, here's what you need to know before you arrive with us.

  1. This is a space provided to the community, so that all those interested in practicing, mix recording, or live streaming (*tba) can benefit from it. We must let you know from the start that you cannot make more than 1 reservation (entering the DJ Booth as a guest or DJ) per day and 4 reservations per month. This is to ensure that everyone has access to the recording and live streaming space without overloading or excessively occupying it. It is important to respect these limits to ensure that the space can be used fairly by all members of the community. If by any chance you missed the guidelines and made more than 1 reservation per day or more than 4 per month, the system wil delete all your reservation from the current period.

  2. The number of sessions per day is quite small, so as not to occupy a slot at a time when you are not sure you will arrive, please think carefully before choosing the day and time. Postponing or canceling a reservation can be done a maximum of twice, with a minimum of 24 hours' notice.

  3. We know that time is relative and that there is never enough when it comes to mixing, but to allow as many DJs as possible to enjoy this space, we have limited the sessions to a maximum of 1-hour.

  4. The space dedicated to the Book The Booth project is arranged in the smallest detail, you will be convinced when you arrive with us, and we would like to keep it that way so that as many people as possible can enjoy this experience. If something goes wrong, it is your responsibility to bring it back to its original state.

  5. We know that traffic is a nightmare and that it is often difficult to arrive on time anywhere, but to fully enjoy the 1 hour scheduled, try to arrive with us at least 10-15 minutes in advance.

  6. We also know that music can steal you away and make you lose your sense of time, but try to set an alarm to fit perfectly within the 1 hour. Your mix will sound much better with a well-prepared apotheotic ending and the next DJ will be able to enjoy their reserved time as well.

  7. I will tell you what you will find in the DJ Booth. If your mix requires other devices or accessories (laptops, sticks, headphones, vinyls, etc.), you will need to bring them with you. In the DJ Booth you will find: 2 x Media Players / 1 x DJ Mixer / 2 x Turntables / 2 x Speakers / 1 x Recorder. These are already arranged in positions and cannot be moved or rearranged.

  8. To make your experience unforgettable, try watching some tutorials on YouTube that explain the main buttons and functions on the DJ Gear. Don't forget to scan your music collection with Rekordbox, put it in a playlist, and export it to a stick or SD Card. We recommend sticks up to 32 GB to avoid various technical compatibility issues.

  9. It's easy to get carried away, especially when you're in the flow, but don't forget to control the audio volume. If it's over 0 decibels on the mixer's volume meter, both the recording and sound in the DJ booth will be distorted and of poor quality.

  10. Although we have some details about you in the online booking that you’ve made, we would be delighted to meet you face to face, so please contact a DjSuperStore representative in the showroom upon arrival and departure.

  11. To ensure that your experience with us is memorable, we will make sure together that all the equipment is in perfect functional state upon your arrival. We will also do the same upon departure so that the next DJ can fully enjoy it.

  12. If something goes wrong during your set, please let us know so we can quickly resolve any malfunctions so you don’t get out of focus.

  13. 1 is perfect, 2 is also perfect, but 3 is a crowd. Because it's a small and cozy space, we don't want your mix to create congestion, so access to the DJ booth is limited to 2 people at the same time. Your guests can enjoy your mix from the Mugshot cafe area along with one of their famous coffee recipes.

  14.  As you probably know, liquids and electronic equipment don't go well together, so to avoid any interruptions to your mix, please leave any drinks of any kind in the cafe or on the specially arranged table at the entrance to the DJ booth.

  15. We have a fairly large collection of vinyl that we hold dear, we brought them here in the DJ booth because it wouldn't be a DJ booth without them, but they cannot be used in your mixes. We are sure that you also have a collection that is just as dear and it would be a pleasure to hear what gems you have there.

  16. If you want to use the turntables provided, please let us know before entering the DJ booth to set up something essential: a pair of needles.

  17. If you have scheduled a slot for Mix Recording, make sure the Recorder is in Rec Mode and remember the recording number. You can send us an email at info@djsuperstore.ro with your name, date, time, and recording number, and we will reply with a link to your recording.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure that you have a productive and enjoyable time at the DJ booth, while also respecting the needs of other DJs who will be using the space.
